Frequently asked questions
Can I paste a YouTube or social-media page link?
No. This tool accepts a direct URL to a public MP4 file, not a web page or protected video stream.
Will a WebM or MOV link be converted to MP4?
Not in this version. Re-encoding requires a separate video conversion process; changing a file extension alone would not create a valid MP4.
Is my video stored on videotolink?
No. This tool transfers the public MP4 to your browser for download. If you want a shareable hosted URL, upload your own video from the homepage.
Why did my link fail?
The URL may point to a web page, require a login, block server access, return a non-MP4 file, or exceed the 100 MB limit.
